If we did not have bad luck, we would not have any luck at all.

It is only February the second month and all ready we have had two major events this year, first in January was the car accident and now Richard had a seizure.

Yep that's right Richard had a tonic clonic seizure (grand mal) today. I came home from work at 6:30am slept for an hour then went to school from 8-11am. When I came home and straight to my bed Richard came and snuggled with me then he started shaking. His eyes were rolled back into his head, he was was chattering, he was tonic (which is when the muscle tense up) and clonic (which is twitching) it lasted about 2 minuets. I called 911 because I knew there was nothing I could do, except keep his air way open, and I wanted to know why he had one. He was in a post-ictal state (the drained sleep) for a couple mins while EMS was coming. I felt bad because while he was waking up he had EMS guys standing over him asking questions, hooking him up to all of the machines, he was confused and out of it. At the hospital, my home away from home, all the test came back normal but come to find out that one of the new medications he started last week has a side effect of seizures. Richard has to see a neurologist to double make sure everything is okay.

It was really scary, something I never want to go through again. I am so glad he is okay and we found out what was causing it.

Hockey Game

The hospital gave out free tickets to the Grizz Hockey game to the employees, so we went and sat with co-workers. Richard said it was awkward for him because they were once his co-workers too, but it was fun.

Yes he does not look that excited but he did have a fun time. It was nice to get out and do something fun.

Valentines Day

We had Valentines Day early this year because surprise surprise I had to work. But it was wonderful. We have never really done anything but this year we both went all out. Some time this last year Richards favorite sweater went missing. It was a Unified Fire sweater that a captain gave him, I wanted to get him a new one because I knew how much he loved it. The blue one he is wearing is just like his old one and I got him another one.

Richard told me he had to put together my present when I was at work, but I got put on call so I went out grocery shopping. When I came home this is what he "put together." It was above our bed, it is written out in candy kisses. Isn't he sweet!!!
In the jewelry box was my wedding ring, it had broken prongs and a chipped diamond. Richard had it fixed and surprised me with it. It was a wonderful surprise.

We went to a fancy restaurant for a late lunch and made it to a matinee movie. Sweet and simple, the best valentines day we have had together. I love him so much!!!

Sunday Phone Call

I had to work all day on Saturday in the ICU, came home did some work, and went to sleep (2am). Then I got up and got ready for church and I got a phone call. The Relief Society teacher called in sick and the president was asking if I could give half of the lesson, and I said yes. I don't know what I was thinking!!!! It went well I called over my time but oh well. I just hope I don't get called as a teacher now. That is what I am worried about!!!!

Never say never

Never say never, I said a long time I would never listen to country music, but I have to admit I listen to it... a lot. In fact I am a fan now. Yep that's right I am a fan. I know some of my friends are saying "YES" and some are saying "OH NO" and I know with out a fact my family is saying "OH HECK NO!"

I found a song by Carrie Underwood - Lessons Learned, and I am making it my theme song for the year. After all we have been through together and all the challenges that we have faced when we were younger and the ones now I know it is preparing us for something. What I don't know yet but I am excited to find out!!!

I wanted to post a music video from youtube, but I could not get it to work. So you will have to look it up to see what I am talking about.

Kitty montage

Our little ones Boots and Phee Phee are so funny and keep us laughing, I decided they deserve a montage of there own.
BOOTS
Any small hole that Phee Phee can fit in, she lays out and takes a nap!
He is a fat cat but oh so cute.
Even Phee Phee needs to be comfortable.
This is one of my ultimate favorite pictures, and this is Boots favorite position. No lie if he is not in your arms when he sleeps he pushes his way in. I have no clue what we are going to do when we have kids!!
Notice where Boots and Phee Phee are, this is how we typically sleep.
