Utah new laws

So with the no texting while driving law they are hoping it will decrease accidents. I was talking with some people and they think it is a good idea I mean who reads while driving? Well the other day on my way to work during rush hour I ended up next to a mail truck with the driver.... READING A BOOK. Screw text messaging this mailman is going straight for the whole context with a book. I tried to get a picture of it because it made me giggle.

You got to love where you live.

So we live on the west side of SLC, now some people call it the "ghetto," and I would have to agree. I have a friend that was at walmart in West Valley, and he found a "pimped" out truck, and it proves that we are the most "ghetto" in SLC.

Here is the "pimped" out Truck, not to bad right?

Don't let it fool you, you are seeing it right.

HIV NEG

Wow now I feel safe knowing they aren't spreading the disease, but I worry about spreading their DNA!!

Oh the nurses I work with.

I love my job, not just because of what I do, but also because of the people I work with. There are some amazing nurses that I would trust my life with, and to be fair there are those that scare me. But all in all they are awesome.

One nurse that works on the floor is from the Philippines, but she speaks her native language Tagalic, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, English and is now learning Spanish. She had to recertify her RN degree in four different countries. She is a great nurse and I love to work with her. Another nurse on the floor is Cambodian, and she speaks something like four languages also. A nurse in the ER is Taiwan, she speaks like eight languages. It is amazing what these women have accomplished. One of the best things about working with these nurses is the food! Yep that’s right authentic homemade food. You haven’t tasted Chinese food until you have tasted the home made good stuff.

The ER nurse made five different dished from the five different places she has lived, and oh my gosh!!! I have to admit I did not like all of it but at least I tried it. Growing up we ate Jicama raw but she cooked it and made a dish with it. Way cool, if you can’t tell I am super excited about it. I will never be able to look at Panda Express the same.

Judo classes

Richard and I have been talking about doing Judo. Richard had been involved with Judo since he was 8 years old and I thought it would be fun to do it together. Well last night I was looking online at some classes and I found an old picture of Richard and Ryan (his friend that killed our Twilight.) He is so cute, lets see if you can find Richard....

I will give you a hint, middle row below the guy in the black.

It gets us every time!

Richard and I have a weakness and it is.... Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

It gets us teary eyed every time. Even Richard admitted that he can't watch it without getting "something" in his eye, he just can't figure it out. (LOL) It is an awesome show that really helps families in need. On of my favorite quote that was a driving force in my life when I was doing all of my volunteering was from Gaundi -- Be the Change you want to see in the world. And this show is helping change the world one family at a time. Its awesome, we both feel if there is ever a time when we can help out with the show, we will!

Don't mess with us or I will send my sister-in-law after you!

Richard is so proud of his little sister Tiffini. She is the only female that has made it through SWAT training for Utah and is already guaranteed a spot on SLC SWAT when there is an opening. Now something about Tiffini is she is 5'1" and easily 110 (if that.) But she is giving everyone a run for their money. Richard is so excited for her, loves her and supports her. She was interviewed by KSL news for being the first females to pass. Here she is...
